A lot of people heard the fantastic results and health benefits that come with the paleo diet and want to just jump in without fully knowing what foods can you eat on a paleo diet and what you cannot eat. As this way of eating has been around for a while now but there still seems to be a lot of confusion on what is okay and what is off-limits. I’ll give you a pretty in-depth list of what foods are acceptable and which foods are just off-limits.

Great for your cholesterol and heart health, as well as your overall health. Healthy fats help lower LDL cholesterol levels and increase good HDL.

Contains vitamin B2, B6, B12, and minerals. Great protein source.
High protein, Contains Vitamins that help with brain function, Strengthens bones
Goose, Quail, Chicken, Turkey
Retention of muscle mass, Strengthens bones, Reduction of appetite
Lamb, Pork, Bacon, Beef, Veal, Rabbit, Bear, Moose, Deer, Elk, Duck
Contain omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D and B2. Also has a good amount of calcium.

This list may have missed a thing or two but I have done my best to give you a detailed idea of what you can eat as well as what you cannot eat. Sometimes seeing it all in plain sight can help you see that there are so many options available to you when the cravings hit or when you are just tired of the usual choices.
