We’ve decided to compare two popular diets – the Mediterranean diet and the Paleo diet. Both may seem very similar but have major differences. Paleo consists of fresh veggies, fruit, meat, poultry, and seafood. Grains are typically restricted from this way of eating. On the other hand, Mediterranean Diet comprises fruit, veggies, grains, and seafood. Moderation is key when it comes to the Mediterranean diet. The paleo diet as many knows is supposed to resemble the hunter-gatherer times. Many that eat paleo don’t consider it a diet but a way of life. The Mediterranean diet is part of the Blue Zones ( areas, where there are lower disease rates and the people there, have longer life expectancy ). It’s not a diet but a way that people eat in the Mediterranean cities such as Greece and Sardinia. The core stables that this diet consists of are Whole grains, Fruits, Vegetables, Beans, Herbs, Spices, Nuts, and Healthy fats. Also, they limit red consumption and sweets. Things to be avoided are processed foods, sugar. A thing to keep in mind is this diet wasn’t created and wasn’t designed for weight loss, However, eating this way may result in losing fat and a healthier body. Also noted there is no need to count calories. A couple of ways the Mediterranean diet may help you lose weight:
